We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Towbin Auto Group team as a Buyer. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of vehicles for all locations. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers.
```Duties```
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients, negotiating contracts and terms of agreements
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine material requirements and develop procurement strategies
- Utilize Oracle EBS or other procurement systems to create purchase orders and track order status
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Implement cost-saving initiatives through effective supplier management and negotiation
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other relevant regulations
- Collaborate with the Materials Management team to optimize inventory levels
```Experience```
- Proven experience in procurement management, preferably in the automotive field
- Strong knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and processes
- Strong multi platform vehicle knowledge
- Proficiency in various social media marketing platforms; FaceBook, Instagram, Offerup, etc..
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other relevant regulations
- Experience in production planning is a plus
